Fresh figs alone are light, sweet and amazing. To take it up a notch or three, I like to drizzle a bit of agave over the tops and add a sprinkle of fleur de sel for a hint of salt among the sugary figs.
While this may seem strange to some, I can assure you that this may be one of the more mildly-odd snack options in my kitchen. My favorites include garlic-stuffed olives and frozen candied ginger. Salty-sweet figs are sounding a whole lot more normal now, huh?
Early tomorrow morning, I'll be hopping a plane headed to San Francisco so I can congregate with foodies from across the country for this event! I've decided that I'm going to have one of the best vacations I've ever had. Anyone else going?
